Dyadic Inteizaction in Crbativ2 Trinxing and Problem Solving

چکیده
The author reviews the research conducted on dyadic interaction and its role in the development of creative thinking and problem solving. Earlier research has shown that children at a certain stage prefer to work alone rather than with other children. However, empirical data have shown on the whole that dyadic interactions result in better performance on creativity tests and other similar measures. There seems to be an egocentricism present in a child which gradually disappears, partially or fully, as the child grows older. Age studies have shown this transition period to be around six years old. Creative abilities and problem solving abilities are shown to increase when mild degrees of stresses are introduced in a situation. The author points out that dyadic interaction does not always function. In one study, dyads showed considerably less group cohesiveness on ego-involving problems. (PS) i

Drawing upon sociocultural theory of Vygotsky, the current study aims to investigate the effect of dyadic interaction in mixed and matched level proficiency pairings on comprehension and production of request and apology speech acts. The participants were 125 EFL learners who were randomly assigned to control and experimental (interaction) groups. Based on their scores in the pretest including ...
متن کاملCommunication Behaviors as Predictors of Long-Term Dyadic Adjustment: Personality as a Moderator
In this longitudinal study, we examined the moderating role of personality in the relationship between communication behaviors and long-term dyadic adjustment. A sample of 82 couples completed the NEO Five-Factor Inventory and the Dyadic Adjustment Scale. These couples were also videotaped during a 15-minute problem-solving discussion. Approximately 2.5 years later, these couples completed agai...

At Time 1, 135 couples completed the NEO Five-Factor Inventory and the Dyadic Adjustment Scale. These couples were also videotaped during a 15-minute problem-solving discussion. Appro...
متن کاملNetwork Analysis of Multimodal, Multiscale Coordination in Dyadic Problem Solving
A recent trend in dyadic interaction research utilizes multiple modalities to better understand phenomena encompassing behavior matching (e.g., synchrony, alignment). Concurrent research has focused on a complementary framework of interaction, assessing the matching of power law distributions of behavior across two people: complexity matching. While both frameworks provide useful insights into ...
